Get back in touch with your Welsh

As the children go back to school adults are being given the opportunity to return to learning too.

For those wanting to learn Welsh, both day and evening courses start on September 25 and are available throughout the county.

Those who are not sure whether they are up to it can join a taster course before signing up for a beginners’ course. This course will give them the grounding and confidence to join a regular course in the community.

A Rustbuster course is being offered for learners who are already attending Welsh courses but who would like to brush up on their skills before returning to class.

People who know a little Welsh won’t have to start at the beginning. They can either telephone for a quick assessment or can join to see what level is best for them.

These are one day courses held in Llandeilo Community Education Centre from 9.30am-4pm on September 15 which will cost £6 for the day.

Carmarthenshire County Council executive board member for education Cllr Glynog Davies said: “I would urge people to take advantage of this opportunity to learn Welsh or improve their Welsh.”

To sign up for a Taster Course, the Rustbuster Course or a Welsh course in the community, register on the Learnwelsh.cymru website. For further information telephone 01267 246862.
