PCSO Daniel Dumbarton will spend his Christmas Eve delivering food to those in need on Anglesey.
PCSO Dumbarton is working with closely with Coedlys in Llangefni, who secured a food donation from Aldi to be distributed to vulnerable people in the town.
Coedlys is supported housing for young and vulnerable people between 16-25. It is run by Digartref Ynys Mon charity that has other emergency accommodation sites across the island.
He said: “I was approached by staff at Coedlys who needed help identifying people in need of the food.
“I immediately took the opportunity to ask my Sergeant for shifts over Christmas in order to fully support the cause”.
PCSO Dumbarton, along with some more PCSOs and Coedlys staff, will be delivering the food parcels throughout the town from three o’clock on Christmas Eve.
He added: “It’s all about spreading the Christmas feeling. Coedlys have done amazing work and I want to thank Aldi for their worthwhile contribution.
“It’s a genuine example of good old-fashioned festive spirit, where people come together to help those in need.”
Anglesey Sergeant Tracey Llewellyn said: “This is a really great initiative that has the full support of the Safer Neighbourhood Team.
“Having thoughtful and reliable Police Community Support Officers makes these special projects possible.”
