Drugs crackdown Newborough.

North Wales Police pursuit of those who supply controlled drugs on Anglesey continued today when Misuse of Drugs Act search warrants were executed in Newborough resulting in a number of mobile phones, drugs and related paraphernalia being seized. A local man in his 20s was arrested for being concerned in the supply, and possession of Class C controlled drugs, he remains in custody awaiting interview. Another local man, aged in his 30s has also been interviewed for possession of Class B controlled drugs.
Sergeant Sara Evans at Llangefni Police Station who coordinated today’s action said ‘This morning officers executed 4 warrants in Newborough and seized a quantity of controlled drugs and mobile phones. Two people are assisting with our enquiries. Our commitment in keeping our communities safe remains a priority and today’s action under Operation Hafal is aimed at keeping our communities in Anglesey safe.’
